Time to Table: 20 minutes

Thaw in fridge overnight before cooking (“quick thawing” not recommended).

Cook Steak: Stovetop or Grill
1. Preheat a skillet, grill pan or outdoor grill over medium-high heat.
*If cooking stovetop, choose a pan that is large enough to accommodate steak in one layer.
2. Lightly coat the pan with nonstick cooking spray. If using an outdoor grill, carefully coat grate with oil.
3. Add steak to pan or grill and cook 5-7 minutes per side, until the internal temperature of the steak reaches 145˚F on an instant read thermometer.
4. Remove steak from heat and place on a large plate or cutting board.
5. Loosely cover steak with a piece of foil and allow to rest for 5 minutes.
*This resting time allows for the juices to redistribute, resulting in a juicier piece of steak.
6. Slice steak thinly, across the grain of the meat. "Across the grain" means to cut across the fibers of the meat, rather than with them. For most flank steaks, this means slicing across the width of the steak rather than its length.
